Dr Wong Sin Yew's Profile

Dr Wong Sin Yew graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) in Year 1984.

He completed his training in internal medicine and attained the Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1989.

Dr Wong did his advanced training in infectious diseases in Singapore and in the United States . He spent two and a half years as a clinical and research postdoctoral fellow in infectious diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine and Research Institute, Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

He is an Infectious Diseases Specialist, accredited by Ministry of Health Singapore (MOH), Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and Academy of Medicine Singapore .

Dr Wong is currently in private practice at Infection & Vaccination Consultants Pte Ltd ( Mount Elizabeth ) and Infectious Disease Partners Pte Ltd (Gleneagles Medical Centre).

He was formerly Clinical Director of Communicable Disease Centre, and Head of Department of Infectious Diseases of Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Besides his private practice, he is also a Visiting Consultant in infectious diseases at Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital .

1) Outpatient Services
Dr Wong provides comprehensive clinic services for a wide range of viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections for outpatients. The diagnostic services are supported by laboratories that can do specialized investigations in infectious diseases. Travel Medicine consultation and advice on Anti Malarial Prophylaxis are also available.

4) Inpatient Services
Dr Wong's clinic provides inpatient care for patients requiring in-hospital and critical care (ICU) treatment. His clinic is accredited in Mt Elizabeth Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital , East Shore Hospital , Mt Alvernia Hospital and Raffles Hospital .

b) Follow-up Consultation: $60 - $100
c) Extended Consultation for complicated cases exceeding 30 minutes: $80 per 15-minute block

2) Inpatient Consultation Fees
a) General Ward: $120 - $200 per day
b) Critical Care Unit: $250 - $400 per day
c) Additional charges will be levied for reviews after office hours, extended consultation for complicated cases and first consultation for patients with prolonged hospitalization

3) Outpatient Procedure Fees
IM Injection: $25 - $50
IV infusion (1 hour or less): $40 - $100
